Happy St. Parick’s Day! It’s a great day for corned beef and cabbage but why do you keep seeing people running around wearing green? And why do people keep pinching you? Dude, that hurts! Part of the St. Paddy’s day fun is the folklore lurking behind the day. You see, leprechauns wear green for a reason. Green renders you invisible, according to Irish lore, and invisible means you won’t fall victim to the pranks and machinations of those trickster leprechauns. Just like Santa gets a little help from his friends, leprechauns employ their friends to give you a little pinch if you forgot to wear a spot of green! If you weren’t aware of how the absence of green can get you a flirty little pinch – you need to go back and ask for a childhood do-over. Even if you don’t have red hair, green beer, and a plateful of corned beef we hope you have a fabulous day filled with shenanigans and the luck o'the Irish. |
