Giving Tuesday - Please Help Us Shine Light On Why Kids Kill Their Parents

We live in a world divided. It’s become more and more difficult to connect with people. Have you noticed?

Without a sense of connectedness, everyone becomes more isolated. Let’s use generosity to help us come together this Giving Tuesday – when we can unite in support of non-profit organizations. Regardless of our diverse interests, we can use generosity to make our world a happier, more unified place. Please give!

May we suggest giving to a very good cause? The Parricide Prevention Institute conducts research crucial to understanding why children kill their parents. Our recently published study of over 700 offenders revealed that only 15% of all children who murder their parent/s were victims of child abuse. Housed within FoMo411, this institute has gathered information on more than 2,000 children who have murdered a parent in the past three decades.

The Parricide Prevention Institute is currently working to identify the type of child who murders a parent and is striving to provide a clearer picture of what is actually happening. The data analysis is providing a much clearer picture of the type of child who kills a parent, why the murders happen, and how the offender can be optimally dealt with by parents, therapists, police, and the courts. Please support us this Giving Tuesday and help us make bring true joy to the world. This is important as approximately 4 parents are each week. Each week!

Every dollar goes a long way, and your generous donation will help ensure that our research continues. Please join us on this Giving Tuesday to provide a better, safer world for everyone.

Please donate here!

Nothing is better than a few minutes playing mermaids with Bette and Dolly. If you're having a bad day, this will fix it. If your day is already good, this will make it better!

Michelle Trumps Trump?

Much has been made of Michelle Obama's awkward moment when greeting Melania Trump and appearing to be flustered by Melania presenting her with a gift.  Originally curious about whether it is traditional for the incoming First Lady to bring a gift, we searched for footage of when Barack and Michelle were greeted by George and Laura.  As you can see in the video, Michelle also brought a gift and presented it to her predecessor. Laura Bush accepted the present and tucked it out of sight for the official picture, simply holding it in one hand behind their backs as they all stood together.  When you watch the footage of Michelle and Melania, Michelle appears very flustered and as if she is shocked to find a gift in her hands.  She struggles with what to do with it for a moment before Barack saves the day and takes the gift.

The significance of this interaction is open to interpretation.  While it was very surprising to see a typically very composed Michelle flustered, it does not to appear to be due to Melania breaking with tradition. You can watch footage of both below and decide for yourself.

P.S. I think the true faux pas was Donald leaving his wife at the car as he raced up the steps.  Arriving together is the well establish polite protocol. Perhaps he should ask Barack for some relationship advice!

Punxsutawney Phil tumbled out of bed at 7:35 a.m. to the raucous behest of everyone.  Startled to see his shadowed self, he petulantly gazed at the crowd and prognosticated a long 6 weeks of winter; acknowledged his secret crush on Tom Brady; admitted to kissing a girl (and liking it);  and blithely went back to bed. Go Patriots!!
